URINALYSIS

Clinical urine test (Urinalysis) is an examination of urine for certain physical properties, solute, cells, casts, crystals, organisms or particular matter and mainly serves for medical diagnosis. There are several tests done on urine. For example:

• Urine biochemistry
• Urine microscopy
• Urine culture
• Urine protein quantification
• Urine micro albumin
• Urine albumin creatinine ration (ACR)

Urine micro albumin and ACR are markers of kidney damage or progression of chronic kidney disease that can occur in a wide range of diseases intrinsic to the kidney or as a consequence of complications of diabetes and hypertension.
